Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “Magnum Research Pillager MN 44 Rem. Mag.”. The underside of the frame is marked “BR02333 / BFR”.
Barrel Length: 4 1/2”, the box is marked 5″ but Magnum Research will accomodate longer and shorter barrel lengths than standard, the barrel markings are centered and the crown appears factory, possibly a special order.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a ramped blade integral to a ramped elevated base screwed to the barrel. The rear sight is a Ruger square notch leaf in a base that is adjustable for windage and elevation. The rear sight is pinned into the top strap. The topstrap has two pairs of drilled, tapped, and filled holes with another drilled and tapped hole under the rear sight. A one-piece rail comes included.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered black rubber with smooth borders and have little to no wear. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. The rear sight is a Ruger rear sight. There are a few handling marks throughout the gun. The cylinder has scattered scuffs, there are some lines of scuffing that run parallel to the bore the length of the cylinder. There is some edge wear at the muzzle. The barrel is 4 1/2”, the box is marked 5″ but Magnum Research will accomodate longer and shorter barrel lengths than standard, the barrel markings are centered and the crown appears factory, possibly a special order. There are a couple of clusters of little dings on the cylinder. The cylinder has a complete thin turn line. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are Clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine Plus-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lockup produces light side-to-side movement and the trigger is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes with a black box with a serial matching label and a rail.
