Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “COMBAT / COMMANDER”, “COLT”, “AUTOMATIC / CALIBER .45” and with a Rampant Colt logo. The right side of the slide is marked “COLT’S COMBAT COMMANDER”. The right side of the frame is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” and “70BS35101”. The barrel at the port is marked “COLT .45 AUTO”. The left-rear of the trigger guard is marked with “VP” in a triangle, the left-front has “0”. The right front of the trigger guard is marked “J”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a ramped blade with a red-orange “T”-shaped insert on the rear face, fixed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with a serrated rear face dovetailed and screw-set to the rear of the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a one-piece checkered rubber Pachmayr Signature Model which wraps around the frontstrap. The mainspring housing has checkered rubber on its rear face. The grip has minor handling wear with no notable damage. There are no rips or tears. Overall, the grip is in about Fine condition as not original to the gun.

Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright and the rifling is sharp. There is some scattered minor erosion.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance is mostly in light operational wear. There are a few scattered minor scuffs and handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Fine-plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is crisp. The slide has minor play to the frame. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a single 7-round magazine. The magazine has light operational wear, intact feed lips and a strong spring. Overall, the magazine is in about Fine condition.
