Markings: The left side of the dust cover is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” and “A A”, the right of the frame is marked “No 52034”. The right side of the slide is marked “M 1911 A1 U. S. ARMY”. The left side of the slide is marked “REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A.”. The top of the slide is marked “P” in front of the rear sight. The rear of the slide is marked “U” and “G” under the firing pin plate. The left side of the frame is marked behind the trigger with a worn “WGP” in circle. The top of the frame is marked “H” and “2” at the disconnector. The barrel is marked “P” on the left link lug and “HS” on the right. The top of the magazine floorplate is marked “B”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a serrated, ramped face fixed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square notch dovetailed to the rear of the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered brown “Coltwood” plastic with reinforcement rings around the screws and without reinforcement ribs on their interiors. The grips have minor handling wear with a few scattered light marks and minor tool marks in the reinforcement rings around the screw heads. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Very Good-Fine condition as not original to the gun.

Finish Originality: Arsenal Refurbished

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 96% of its current metal finish. There are some scattered light scuffs and scratches. There some scattered light erosion under the finish, most notable under the grips. The action shows light operational wear. The screw heads are tool marked with strong slots, the markings are mostly clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Very Good-Fine condition as arsenal refurbished.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. It has both a manual and grip safety and the trigger pull is crisp. The slide has nominal play to the frame. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a black leather flap holster and a single 7-round magazine. The holster is marked “US” in oval on the flap and “WARREN LEATHER / GOODS CO. / 1917 / C.W.S.” on the rear. The holster shows moderate wear, verdigris at the metal parts, and discoloration with intact stitching, in about Good condition. The magazine has light operational wear, intact feed lips and a strong spring, in about Very Good condition.
