Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER MODEL 9422 .22 S-L-LR / MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”. The top of the barrel and top of the receiver are marked with the “WP” proof. The bottom of the frame and lever assembly are marked “F200163”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade and is dovetailed to a hooded, serrated, and ramped base. The rear sight is a “U” notch leaf and elevator style sight, the elevator is present. The top of the receiver is grooved to accept claw-style mounts (none included).

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece smooth walnut with a straight grip, checkered black plastic Winchester buttplate and barrel band on the forend. There are some scattered light compressions and draglines. There are a few dings into the finish, the most noticeable are on the comb, belly, and on the right side of the butt, but there are only a few. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 ¾” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The buttplate shows some light dings and small scratches with mainly strong checkering. The stocks rate in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. The receiver and lever have some small spots of surface oxidation, most noticeable on the right side of the receiver. The barrel has a barrel and magtube have a few fine scratches and little nicks into the finish, most noticeable on the right side of the barrel. The edge of the muzzle has some light thinning. The magtube hanger has some scuffs that have thinned the finish. The bolt shows finish loss from working the action. The markings are clear. The screw heads show light use with strong slots. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The magazine tube The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
