Markings: The left side of each barrel is marked “WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK / MADE IN U.S.A.”, “-MODEL 12 – 12 GA. – 2 3/4 CHAM. / -WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL-“, the 26” barrel is marked “IMP-CYL”, the 28″ barrel is marked “WS-2”. Each barrel to the left of the rib and the top of the receiver at the front have an ovalled “WP” proof. The bottom of the receiver and the barrel extension of the 26″ barrel assembly are marked “1273006”, the extension on the 28″ barrel assembly is not serial marked. The bottom of the magazine tubes and the barrel extensions have indexing arrows. The bottom-right of the 26″ barrel is marked with an ovalled “P” at the rear. When marked on the top near the “WP” proof, this marking would indicate a mail-order barrel fitted outside of the Winchester factory. We have not seen this marking applied to the bottom of a barrel, before.
Barrel Length: Two barrel assemblies are included, one 26″, one 28″, each with a Solid Rib.
Choke: 26″: Improved Cylinder, fixed. 28″: Skeet 2, fixed.
Sights / Optics: Each barrel assembly has a red bead in a base at the front of its rib, the 26″ barrel has a smaller, silver-colored mid-bead. The top of the receiver has a serrated groove which serves as a sighting plane.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered walnut with extended slide handles on each barrel assembly, capped pistol grip, straight comb and checkered black hard rubber Winchester buttplate. The buttstock has a few scattered light nicks and scuffs with a cluster of minor marks at the toe. The 26″ barrel assembly’s slide handle has a few scattered light marks, handling wear with thinning finish toward the left-rear and a more notable ding on the bottom-right in front of the checkering. The 28″ barrel assembly’s slide handle has a few scattered light marks and one more notable nick at the right-rear edge. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The plate has minor wear around the edges with well defined checkering and lettering. Overall, the stocks are in about Fine condition as .

Finish Originality: The finish is original to the parts, the parts are not all original to the receiver.
Bore Condition: The bores are bright with no erosion. The 28″ barrel has some stubborn fouling at the muzzle-end.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 96% of its metal finish. There are some scattered minor marks. The receiver has wear on the left-front edge from the action bars during reassembly. The side faces of the 26″ barrel’s rib has scattered light wear. The action has light operational wear. The screw heads range from sharp to tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun set is in about Fine condition as assembled.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This shotgun will slam-fire as designed. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun set comes in a green canvas and brown leather bound luggage case with combination lock latch, leather carry handle and two leather straps. The interior is lined with red felt, English-fit for the two barrel sets, stocked receiver with strap for the wrist, and a lidded accessory compartment. The exterior of the case has scattered light storage wear, the interior has minor wear from the contents, in about Fine condition.
