Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL, P.G. / MADE IN JAPAN”. The right is marked “BL-22 CALIBER .22 SHORT, LONG & LONG RIFLE / PATENT NO. 3377781”. The bottom of the frame is marked with the serial number “47B42353”. The receiver and lever are scroll engraved.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed into the barrel, the rear sight is a flip up “U” notch blade that is adjustable for windage and elevation. The top of the receiver is grooved for a claw type scope mount.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece checkered wood with a straight pistol grip. The wood shows the lightest of handling marks with a few drag lines and light compressions. The checkering is sharp with a few individual compressed checkers. The LOP measures 13 ¼” from the front of the gold trigger to the back of the hard rubber buttplate. The checkered buttplate shows light handling marks with a few small patches of compressed checkers. The stock rates in about Fine Plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is light thinning on the edges near the muzzle. The knurling on the magazine tube assembly is sharp. The lever shows light finish loss from cycling the rifle. The markings are clear. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
