The top of the receiver is installed with a pair of Redfield Leupold-style bases that secure a pair of rings holding a Leupold 2-7×28 VARI-X II scope. The scope is developing a plum hue and has a few little marks into the finish. The scope has a duplex reticle and the glass is clear, it rates in about Fine condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece checkered fancy walnut with pistol grip, Monte Carlo comb with cheekpiece, throughbolt, sling studs front & rear, and a Browning black hard rubber buttplate. The stock has some compressions and some dings into the finish, the most noticeable are on the bottom of the forend at the front and left side at about the rear of the trigger guard. There are what appear to be two hairline cracks to the left of the receiver tang. There are some infrequent light compressions. There are a few scratches on the belly. The checkering is mainly strong but there are some nicked peaks which are mainly on the wrist. The LOP measures approximately 13 5/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The plate has some light handling wear, no chips or cracks. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition if the marks to the left of the tang are cracks and Fine if they are just defects in the woodgrain.
Type of Finish: The rifle is blued. The trigger guard and floorplate are blued with gold filled engraving. The bolt handle and bolt are brightly polished and “In The White”.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few light marks on the barrel, hardly noticeable. The front sight ramp has a few tiny marks to the serrations and the sides both have a small patch of black paint. There are handling marks on the bolt handle and the body has standard operational wear. The bolt plug and striker have some oil marks. There is no oxidation or erosion under the stock line. The screw slots are sharp and the markings are clear, but some of the small proofs are lightly stuck. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine to Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. There is a manual safety on the right rear of the receiver. As with all firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is the previously described Leupold scope.
