Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “A.UBERTI & C. GARDONE V.T. ITALY / ALLEN FA MFG. CO.-SANTA FE NM / CAT. 1574 / CAL. 44/40” and a series of proof marks. The top tang is marked “MOD.73 CARBINE”, the bottom tang is marked with the serial number “46050”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a thin blade at the muzzle. The rear sight is an elevation adjustable square notched blade that is dovetailed into the barrel.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece smooth wood with straight grip buttstock. The stocks show light handling and storage wear with a few scattered compressions and scuffs. There are no chips or cracks present. The LOP measures 13 ¼” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The buttplate shows light patches of pinprick erosion with a sliding door storage compartment. The stocks rate in about Fine Plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its original metal finish. The balance of finish shows moderate handling marks with light patches of pinprick erosion. The receiver shows a purple hue. The markings are clear. The screwheads are lightly tooled with turnable slots. This rifle rates in about Fine overall condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
