Markings: The bottom of each barrel is marked “15.7” with an Italian proof, the left has “CAM. 76”, the right “KG 1.130”. The left flat has “SIACE” and “37095”, the right has two Italian proofs and “AP” in box date code. The top of the forend iron is marked “37095”. The right of the water table is marked “37095” and “SIACE”, the left is marked “HATFIELD / WARRANTED”, “2020 CALHOUN / ST. JOSEPH, MO.”. Each side of the receiver is marked “HATFIELD”. The receiver, lever and guard have relief foliate scroll and border engraving.
Barrel Length: The barrels have been cut to 26”.
Choke: Left: Modified, Right: Cylinder Bore, both Fixed.
Sights / Optics: There is a brass bead mounted to the front of the rib.
Weight: 5 lb., 14.7 oz.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a two piece checkered wood with a beautiful grain pattern, splinter forend, straight wrist, straight comb and solid brown rubber buttpad. The stocks have only a few scattered minor marks. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad, 13 3/8″ to the back of the wood. Drop at comb is approximately 1 3/4″, drop at heel 2 1/2″. The cast is about neutral. The pad has scattered light wear with shaping wear at the heel. Overall, the stocks are in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: Blued & Chrome
Finish Originality: Refinished, the finish appears original to the time of engraving.
Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion in the bores, but there is some stubborn fouling in front of the chambers.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are a few scattered minor marks, most notable in a cluster on the right barrel over the front of the forend. The action shows minor operational wear. The screw head is tool marked with a strong slot. The pin heads are tool marked but not peened. The markings range from clear to worn and faint. Overall, this shotgun is in about Fine condition as refinished.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly including ejectors. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes in a brown fabric-bound hard-sided luggage case with leather on the ends, English-fit green fabric lined interior with Hatfield label in the lid, compartments for the barrel assembly, stocked receiver, a lidded compartment for accessories and a block for three shells with two snap-caps in the block. The case has light storage wear on the exterior, the interior shows wear from its contents with the block between the lidded compartment and the stocked receiver compartment coming free. Overall, the case is in about Good-Very Good condition and would easily rate Very Good but for the block coming loose.
