Markings: There is no visible import mark. The top of the receiver is marked “AL”. The left side of the receiver is marked with a Belgian “* / N” proof and with a Belgian proof that resembles an “arrow”. The right side of the receiver, the right side of the bolt body, the right side of the top cover, and the wood above the right side of the trigger are each marked with the serial number. The right side of the receiver is also marked “FABRIQUE NATIONALE D’ARMES DE GUERRE-HERSTAL-BELGIQUE”. The left side of the receiver is marked with a “flaming bomb” and “0”. The top of the gas tube cap is marked “A”. The belly of the stock is marked with a “circle containing script letters”.
Barrel Length: Approximately 23 Inches
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a dovetail set, bladed post set between two protective ears. The rear sight is an aperture tangent sight marked from “1-10”.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The two piece gloss finished hardwood stock has a pistol grip, finger grooves, metal nosecaps, barrel band, two sling swivels and a metal buttplate with hinged door for storage in the butt. A metal tube containing cleaning gear is stored in the butt. The buttplate barrel band, and nosecap have been refinished. They show excess paint finish as well as bubbling in the lacquer. Oxidation shows through the new finish. The buttplate shows scrapes and thinning. The wood shows several light scrapes & light scratches. Most of these marks have been finished over. The LOP measures 13 1/4 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition as refinished.

Finish Originality: Original. The original finish has been coated in lacquer.
Bore Condition: The bore is semi bright. The muzzle and the grooves near the muzzle are light grey. The rifling is deep. There is frosting at the muzzle and in the grooves near the muzzle. The bore shows an M.E. of -1 (negative 1).
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. The original black finish has been coated with lacquer. Excess lacquer and bubbling in the lacquer are visible. Areas of oxidation show through the lacquer finish. The barrel and trigger guard show scrapes & scratches which have removed portions of the black finish. The barrel also shows light surface erosion that has removed areas of the finish. The exposed areas of the metal show discoloration from oxidation and have been coated in lacquer. The bolt shows areas of thinning consistent with cycling. The remaining metal shows small scrapes & handling marks. The screw heads show use. The markings are deep. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good Plus to Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cocking indicator is located at the bottom front of the trigger guard. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The rifle comes with a magazine that shows scrapes & small scratches that have removed portions of the finish. It has been coated in lacquer. It is in about Very Good Plus condition. The rifle comes with a green nylon sling with metal buckles. The sling shows light soiling & discoloration. The buckles show scrapes & small scratches. It is in about Very Good Plus to Fine condition. A metal tube containing cleaning gear is stored in the butt. The tube shows scrapes & scratches. One end is an empty oil chamber. The other end contains a thong & pull through metal loop. The tube & gear are in about Very Good condition.
