Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “Old Reliable”, “C. SHARPS ARMS CO. INC. / BIG TIMBER, MONTANA U.S.A.”, and “CAL. 45 2 1/10”. The left of the receiver is marked “C. SHARPS ARMS CO. INC. / BIG TIMBER, MT U.S.A. / 74-1843”.

Barrel Length: 26″, Octagonal

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a folding Beech-style sight presenting either a german silver post or a beaded post in a ring. The sight is mounted to a base dovetailed to the front of the barrel. There is no provision for mounting a rear sight to the barrel. The top tang is drilled and tapped with a folding tang sight installed, adjustable for windage and elevation.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece walnut with a schnabel forend, pistol grip, straight comb with cheek piece, and case-color checkered steel buttplate. The stocks have a few scattered minor compressions and handling marks with a more notable ding in the nose of the forend. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14 1/4″ and 13 3/8″ from the fronts of the triggers to the back of the buttplate. The plate has no notable wear with sharp checkering and strong case-color. Overall, the stocks are in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The hammer has a half-cock position. The lever locks up tight. The trigger is crisp when not set, very light and crisp when set. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a C. Sharps Arms brochure, instructions for installation and use of the tang sight, introduction manual and an additional aperture for the tang sight.
