Markings: The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number, a QR code, and “PARA USA / CHARLOTTE NC”. The right side of the slide is marked “PRO CUSTOM 40”. The right of the chamber, visible through the port, is marked “MATCH”. The left side of the slide is marked “Para 1911”. The top of the chamber is marked with the logo and “.40 S&W”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a green fiber optic dot and is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a fully-adjustable flat-topped square notch target sight with a serrated rear face and is dovetailed and screw set into the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece black VZ Grips Operator G-10 panels. The front ¼ have depressed squares and the rear ¾ have diagonal grooves. There is light handling wear. The texturing is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There is faint handling and operational wear. The bushing has some wear on the edges. The edges of the beavertail have some thinning. There are a few scuffs on the extended magazine well. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are easily read. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is crisp and has a short reset. The sldie to frame fit has barely perceptible movement. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a serial matching box, paperwork including the manual, and two 16-round magazines. The magazines have some scuffs, scrapes, and finish loss from use and rate in about Very Good condition. Please note, the magazines will not be included if prohibited by your local laws.
Our Assessment: Para-Ordnance has been cranking out double-stacked 1911’s like this since 1990 and with a wide reception from the competitive shooting circles, it has become commonplace to see 1911’s capable of carrying 16 round flush-fitting magazines, a huge step over the initial design. This one features a 5” barrel, a green fiber optic front sight, fully adjustable target rear sight, skeletonized match-grade trigger, skeletonized hammer, ambidextrous extended safeties, beavertail grip safety with an indexing bump, full-length guide rod, and a black stainless finish. This would make a fine home defense pistol with 16 rounds of .40 S&W but where it will really shine is in the Limited division of shooting sports such as USPSA, especially in .40 and able to make major power factor scoring. This is a really nice 2011 pistol ready to become part of your lineup. Please see our photos and good luck!
