Action Type: Single Action Semi-Automatic with Removable Magazine.
Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “HI-STANDARD / U.S.A. MODEL H-D”. The left side of the frame is marked “MADE IN U.S.A. / THE HIGH STANDARD MFG. CO. / NEW HAVEN, CONN. / PATENT PENDING / .22 CAL. / LONG RIFLE”. The front of the grip is marked “114476”, the bottom of the slide is marked “4476”. The right of the frame is marked “PROPERTY OF / U.S.” with an ordnance wheel and crossed cannons between the slide and barrel. The top of the barrel is marked “PROPERTY OF THE U.S.A.”. The top of the frame is marked “XT” and “1”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a serrated rear face fixed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch dovetailed to the rear of the barrel.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered black hard rubber. The grips have some wear on the bottom, most notable of which appears to be flashing from their molds. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 65% of its metal finish. The finish is thinning at all edges. The barrel’s finish has a plum hue, with scattered light finish wear. The grip areas have handling wear. There are several light nicks, scuffs and scratches scattered throughout. The action shows operational wear, including under the takedown lever on the right of the frame. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are generally clear, the Ordnance wheel is incomplete. Overall, this pistol is in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. It has an exposed spurred hammer and a frame mounted safety. There is a takedown lever on the right side of the frame behind the grip and a slide release directly above the grip. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with one blued magazine. The magazine shows light operational wear, intact feed lips and a strong spring, in about Very Good overall condition.
