Markings: The top of the barrel is marked with “WARNING – BEFORE USING GUN READ INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM / –RUGER, NEWPORT, NH U.S.A.–”. The left side of the barrel is marked with “300 WIN MAG” and the SR proof. The left side of the receiver is marked with “712-46583 RUGER M77 HAWKEYE”. Either side of the cheek riser is marked with “RUGER” and the Ruger logo. The bolt is hand inscribed “46583” and matched to the rifle.
Barrel Length: 26”, Approximately 27 ?” to the end of the muzzle break.
Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. There is a picatinny rail secured with four, #8-40 screws for increased long-range elevation capabilities overtop the traditional integral scope mounts that are machined directly on the solid-steel receiver.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one-piece speckled black and brown laminate with a fluted straight comb, black rubber buttpad and quick detach sling mounts at the front and rear. There is also a sling stud at the rear in the belly. The buttstock contains an adjustable cheek riser. The bottom of the forend is equipped with an inlay M-LOK rail. The speckled texture is coarse and pronounced. There are no major defects and minimal handling wear. The LOP measures approximately 14 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the pad as currently configured. The pad has light wear but no rips or tears. Overall, the stock is in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are only light handling marks. There is some fouling in the muzzle break. The markings are clear. The screws are clean with deep slots. Overall, this rifle is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included with this gun is one 5-round magazine, paperwork including a manual, a safety lock, M-LOK attachable rail, M-LOK fast detach sling stud, and length of pull spacers. The magazine has light operational drag lines and rates in about Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: The Ruger M77 Hawkeye is a tough and reliable bolt action rifle, this one chambered for .300 Win. Mag. feeds from a 5-round Magpul magazine. The heavy barrel measures approximately 27 5/8″ in total length and the muzzle brake will help to mitigate the recoil of the powerful .300 Win. Mag. The stock provides a great level of adjustableity with length of pull spacers and an adjustable cheekpiece for greater personalization. The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and with the proven and time tested design, this rifle will be stacking tight groups for years to come. Please see our photos and good luck!
