Markings: The left of the slide is marked “SIG SAUER 1911”. The right of the frame is marked “SIG SAUER INC. / EXETER-NH-USA” and the right of the dust cover is marked with “54B080175”. The top of the barrel exposed by the ejection port “.45 AUTO / SIG SAUER”.  The right side of the slide is marked “Target”. Either side of the grips are marked “SIG SAUER”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a recessed white dot. The rear sight is a fully adjustable square notch target sight with two recessed white dots and a serrated rear face. Both sights are dovetailed to the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered wood panels with a diamond around the lower screw and a smooth porstion at the top. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is inract and attreactive with minimal rub wear. There are no cracks or chips. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The mag release and slide stop have light rub wear from minimal use. There is minimal handling and operational wear. The checkering on the front and backstrap is sharp. The screw heads are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a serial matching hard case, paperwork including the manual, a safety lock, and one 7-round Kimber magazine. The magazine has some light rubs and scuffs from standard use. The feed lips and spring are strong. The magazine is in about Fine Plus condition.

Our Assessment: Sig has long been a quality handgun manufacturer, with their P-series pistols some of the most popular on the market. Still, even Sig knows that there’s something timeless about the 1911. This is their take on the classic 1911 with a few modern features, with a series ’80 firing pin block, and an external extractor. It is in Excellent condition with its case and a 7-round Kimber magazine to get you started. If you don’t have a 1911 or if you don’t have a Sig, this pistol can check both boxes and will make a great shooter for years to come. Please see our photos and good luck!
