Markings: The left of the barrel shroud is marked “WALTHER” in banner and “SP22 cal. 22l.r. / Carl Walther Ulm/Do / Made in Germany” and “SP22M2”. The right side of the barrel shroud is marked “SP22M2”, “SMITH & WESSON / Springfield, MA”, with a warning, and “WALTHER” in a banner. The right side of the bolt is marked with proofs and the “AH” date code. The internal frame is marked with the serial number to the left of the trigger.
Barrel Length: 6″
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a red fiber optic dot fixed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with two green fiber optic dots which is screw-adjustable for windage and elevation, housed in the rear of the frame/barrel shroud.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are black polymer with finger grooves and raised steps. The grip has no major defects, just light handling wear.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are some little nicks around the rear sight. The pinheads and screw sockets are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a black plastic Walther case with a serial-matching label, an additional front & rear sight, a picatinny rail, paperwork including the manual, and two 10-round magazines in Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: Walther is a German firearms manufacturer which has been producing firearms for more than 130 years, with iconic firearms such as the PPK, P38, WA2000, and others. Their modern polymer-framed rimfire pistol is the P22, and it has been a favorite of plinkers since it was introduced in 2002. This example is the later SP22M2 model which is an upgraded version geared towards target shooting, it has a shrouded 6” barrel, an ergonomic grip, nice weight, fiber optic iron sights, and provisions for optics. The pistol is in Excellent condition appearing to have seen little use, making it a great “used” option if you’re looking to pick up a comfy little plinker. Please see our photos and good luck!
