Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “Vee-Block 223 Remington”. The right side of the receiver is marked “Remington / 700 LH” and “C6640258”. The compensator is marked “Ultra Brake”. 
Barrel Length: The heavy stainless steel barrel is 25” from the rear of the chamber to the front of the built-in compensator. 
Sights / Optics: This rifle is mounted with a 10X scope marked “Zeiss / West Germany / DAITAL-C / 10X36” and “1675401”. It has a variable objective marked from 40 Yards to Infinity, and a crosshair reticle. The outside of the scope has several deep handling marks plus scratches in the finish where the scope rings have been previously attached. The reticle is a crosshair. As viewed through the eyepiece, the lenses are clear and free of distortion. Overall, the scope rates in Very Good condition. 
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one piece synthetic with a pebbled green finish. It has a pistol grip, a black solid rubber recoil pad marked “Decelerator” and a sling swivel stud mounted near the butt. The forend has a bipod mounted marked “Versa-Pod”. The mount for the bipod also has a sling swivel stud. The stock shows only very minor handling marks. The rubber in the recoil pad is pliant. The LOP measures 13 ½” from the front of the trigger to the rear of the recoil pad. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition. 
Type of Finish: Blued Receiver and Stainless Steel Barrel 
Finish Originality: All Original 
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and deep. There is no erosion. 
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition. 
Mechanics: This rifle has a hair trigger. The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle.

Our Assessment: Boy, at 13 lbs. 10 oz., the bipod is really needed on this rifle. With its hair trigger and heavy barrel, this rifle should be a tack driver up to 400 yards, and if you are a left handed varmint hunter, this is your baby!!!
