Sights/Optics: The front sight is a red fiber optic blade slotted in a base that is dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is a Novak-style low mount with a square notch that is dovetailed to the slide.

Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are two-piece textured and checkered synthetic panels. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. Overall, the grips are in Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In the opinion of this writer, the bore rates a 9 out of 10.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is very minor operational wear only. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide has very little play to the frame. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This pistol will ship in its serial-matching factory box and includes two (2) 15-round magazines, and a takedown wrench. Please note, no magazines will be included where they can not be legally sold or transferred.

Our Assessment: This is Remington’s modern take on the classic 1911-A1 pistol. It has a black finish, synthetic grips, beavertail indexing bump safety, skeletonized hammer and trigger, checkered back strap and serrated front strap, and a great slide-to-frame fit. Chambered in the .45 ACP cartridge, this pistol will pack a punch and ammo is usually easy to find in a variety of loadings. The pistol is in Excellent condition with 99% of its finish, a great bore, and strong mechanics. It ought to make a good carry, home defense, or recreational shooting pistol. Now, ready, aim, bid!
