Markings: The right side of the slide is marked “STAINLESS TARGET II”. The right side of the frame is marked “KIMBER, YONKERS, NY U.S.A. / KF08546” behind the slide stop pin. The top of the barrel visible through the ejection port is marked “.38 SUPER”. The left side of the slide is marked “Kimber”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a serrated rear face and is dovetailed to the front of the slide. White paint has been applied to the front sight. The rear sight is a square-notch Bomar-style target sight with a serrated rear face and is adjustable for windage and elevation dovetailed to the rear of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece black and gray G10 panels with serrations on the rear 2/3 and dimples on the front 1/3. The grips have no major defects, just light handling marks. The grips rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is some faint discoloration on the frontstrap and on the top of the slide by the front sight. There is a light hairline scratch on the right side of the frame at the slide stop pin. There are some scattered light handling marks. There is light operational wear. The grip screws are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide to frame fit shows barely any movement. The trigger is crisp. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
Box & Accessories: This pistol comes in a black plastic Kimber case with a serial matching label, an assortment of factory paperwork including manual, three 9-round magazines, a pair of checkered black rubber double diamond grips in Fine condition, and a checkered black rubber double diamond grip with wraparound finger grooves also in Fine condition.
Our Assessment: For 40 years, Kimber has been producing some of the finest 1911-style pistols in America and this is no exception. The Stainless Target II comes from Kimber packed with features such as front and rear slide serrations, extended beavertail grip safety, full-length stainless guide-rod, extended thumb-safety, skeletonized hammer and trigger, adjustable target sights, and of course, Kimber quality. This example is in Fine Plus condition showing little sign of use, likely more from handling than actual firing and comes in its original case. It has been installed G-10 Grips and looks sharp. This is a beautiful gun in high condition and would make an excellent addition to any collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
