Markings: The left side of the slide is marked with a Mauser banner logo and “SIG Arms Inc. / Exeter – NH – USA”. The right side of the slide is marked with “READ MANUAL / BEFORE USE”, with a proof, the serial number, and “M2”. The right side of the barrel visible through the ejection port is marked “.45 Auto”. The top of the chamber is marked with proofs and the date code. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number and a German proof. The left side of the dust cover is marked “Frame Made in Germany”. The sides of the grip are marked “Mauser”.

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade with a recessed white dot and is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch with a white alignment reference dovetailed into the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are textured black plastic that wrap around the backstrap, leaving the serrated frontstrap exposed. The grip shows only minor handling wear. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grip rates in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp, and there is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its finish. There are a few minor rubs and light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp, and all markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This is a Mauser M2 semi-automatic pistol that takes .45 ACP and has a striker fired firing mechanism. It pairs a steel slide with an alloy frame to keep weight down and has a rotating barrel which should help reduce felt recoil. This one was made in 2001 though you would never know based on the way it looks. It comes with its original case and two magazines to get you started.
