Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “—–MANUFACTURED BY THE—– / U. S. REPEATING ARMS CO., NEW HAVEN, CT. USA”. The left shoulder of the barrel “–WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL– / ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER” and a Winchester proof. The upper tang is marked “MODEL 1894 / –WINCHESTER–”. The top rear of the barrel is marked “30 W.C.F.”. The right shoulder of the barrel is marked “1894-1994”. The bottom of the receiver is marked with the serial number. The sides of the receiver have decorative border and scroll engraving and show gold inlay game scenes with gold borders. The grip cap is marked “WINCHESTER / 1894-1994”.
Barrel Length: 26” Half Round Half Octagonal
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a tall beaded blade that is dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is an elevator sight with a U-notch leaf with a white triangle aim guide that is also fine adjustable for elevation. The upper tang is equipped with an elevation adjustable peep aperture sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered wood with a capped forearm, capped pistol grip, straight comb, and a crescent blued buttplate. There are no perceptible imperfections. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 3/8” from the front of the trigger to the rear of the buttplate, which shows no wear. Overall, the stocks rate in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no wear to speak of. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this rifle is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly and smoothly. The lever safety is present and functions properly. The receiver also contains a push safety that blocks the hammer from hitting the pin. The hammer has a half cock safety position. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Marlin 1894 is one of the stronger lever-action designs ever produced, it has been in production, with very few changes, for over a century, now. The action is robust, dependable, and remarkably easy to disassemble and clean. The Winchester Model 94 Limited Edition Centennial High Grade was made in 1994 to celebrate the 100th year production of the Winchester 1894 Rifle. The rifles feature No. 9 style engraving pattern on both sides of the receiver with gold inlay deer scene, H-style checkering, pistol grip stock with black plastic grip cap, deluxe wood, 26 inch half-round half-octagon barrel, half tube magazine, blue steel crescent butt-plate, and chambered in .30 W.C.F.
