Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “M&P 45 SHIELD”, “Performance Center”, “M2.0” and features the S&W logo. The left and right sides of the grip are marked “M&P”. The top of the barrel is marked “45 AUTO”. The right side of the slide is marked “SMITH & WESSON / SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A.” and “CAUTION-CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number “JDV7222”.
Barrel Length: 3 1/4”, The Slide is Ported.
Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a green fiber optic sight dovetailed at the muzzle end of the slide. The rear sight is an adjustable serrated square notch with two red fiber optic rods which is dovetailed to the rear end of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The grip is one-piece textured polymer integral to the frame. The grip has some minor handling wear but lacks any notable defects. There are no cracks. Overall, the grip is in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are some general handling marks but the pistol lacks any notable defects. The markings are clear. The screwheads are sharp and serviceable. Overall, the pistol is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide action is smooth. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this pistol. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: The pistol comes with its factory box, 2 magazines, a S&W cleaning kit, paperwork and padlock safety device. The box has some minor handling wear but remains in Fine condition. One magazine has a six round capacity, it has standard S&W markings and remains in Fine condition. The other magazine has a seven-round capacity, but is otherwise identical to the previously described magazine.
Our Assessment: This S&W model M&P 45 Shield is a striker-fired semi-automatic pistol that takes .45 ACP rounds. The pistol has a sleek black melonite finish and is mechanically sound. Produced by the Smith and Wesson Performance Center, this Shield 2.0 has improved ergonomics, a ported barrel, and upgraded fiber-optic sights. This pistol should serve as an effective home defense tool and can be used for some fun at the range. The pistol is a great option that you do not want to miss out on!
