Markings: The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number, “m4”, and “BENELLI-ITALY”. The left side of the receiver is marked “BENELLI U.S.A. CORP.-ACCOKEEK MD.-MADE IN ITALY”. The bottom left of the receiver is marked with proofs and “20” in a box. The bolt is marked “*BENELLI ARMI SYSTEM” and with two small proofs. The left side of the barrel is marked “BENELLI ARMI S.P.A.-URBINO-MADE IN ITALY”. The right side of the barrel is marked with “12 GA 3” – 76mm – FOR 2 ¾” OR 3” SHELLS / READ OWNERS MANUAL BEFORE USING GUN” and “TM40861C20”. The right side of the rear sight base is marked “LPA ITALY”.

Choke: Improved Modified Choke Installed. The barrel is threaded for interchangeable chokes.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a post mounted between two protective ears. It has a white insert that glows in the dark. The front sight is adjustable for windage. The rear sight is a is a ghost ring sight with two luminous dots in a base with two protective ears screwed to the receiver, it is adjustable for windage and elevation. The dots on the sight produce a light glow but are visible in low light, the front is brighter than the rear. The top of the receiver is installed with a rail.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are synthetic with a rubberized tactical pistol grip. The grip and the forearm are ribbed. The buttstock has a straight comb and a sling bar on each side. The recoil pad is made of rubber. The right side has a few little nicks up by the heel. There are a few little rubs that have caused smooth spots. The LOP measures 14 1/4” from the trigger to the rubber recoil pad. The pad has light wear. The stocks rate in about Fine Plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are light handling marks, no major defects. The pins are intact. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be required to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork& Accessories: Included is a serial matching box, manual, choke wrench, and oil.
Our Assessment: This Benelli M4 is in Excellent condition. This is a great shotgun that is used by the military; if you are lucky you can have one too. The Benelli M4 Tactical shotgun is a unique, Auto-Regulating Gas-Operated (A.R.G.O.) semi-auto. Originally designed in 1998 for the U.S. Marine Corps, the M4 (M1014) was extensively tested at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland where it proved totally reliable for safety, function, and performance. The M4 Tactical is the combat service shotgun of the U.S. Joint Services today with its battle-proven reliability. It has a picatinny rail for mounting scopes, sights, and optics, and ghost-ring sights for quick target acquisition. For reliability when it counts, select the M4 Tactical shotgun.
