Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “SMITH & WESSON / SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A.”. The left side of the frame is marked “VKR5063 / Mod 457”. The right side of the frame is marked with the S&W logo. The top of the chamber is marked “45 AUTO”.

Sights / Optics: The rear sight is a square notched 2 white dot Novak style dovetailed to the slide. The front sight is a blade with a single white dot dovetailed to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The one piece wraparound checkered black plastic grip is marked “Smith & Wesson” and with their monogram logo on each side. There are some scratches on the backstrap at the bottom. The checkering is strong with only a couple lightly nicked peaks. Otherwise, there is just light handling wear. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in about Fine Plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 93% of its metal finish. The slide finish has thinned, heaviest on the edges. There is a scratch in front of the ejection port on the right side. The slide has a few rubs from handling and use. The frame has one or two tiny marks into the finish the left top edge of the rear sight has a small scrape. There is standard operational wear. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double action trigger pull is smooth and the single action is crisp with a very short reset. The action features a magazine disconnect safety and a slide mounted safety/de-cocker. We have not fired this pistol. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a blue plastic Smith & Wesson carry case with serial matching end label, manual, and two 7-round magazines. The mags have some light wear from use to the bodies, the springs are strong and the feed
lips are intact, they rate in about Excellent condition. The case has some scattered scrapes, scratches, and some stress discoloration, it rates in about Very Good condition.
