Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There is light thinning on the edges of the front strap. There are scattered faint lines on the sides of the slide and a more notable scratch on the left. On the same side, a small area of light scuffing can be seen at the front near the muzzle. There is standard operational wear on the hammer and the safety. The grip screw is sharp and the markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double action trigger pull is a little stiff and the single action pull is crisp. This pistol has a decocker. We did not fire this handgun. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a black Walther display case with a total of one 7-round magazine. The adhesive of the upper cushioning marked with the Walther banner is worn and does not hold the cushioning in place. Also included is the original matching factory box with a manual and test target.

Our Assessment: This is a Walther Model PPK made in 1965 before they enlarged the pistol to the PPK/S to get around the restrictions of the 1968 Gun Control Act. It is in Fine condition with only minor imperfections. The bore is bright with well-defined rifling and no erosion. It will make someone a great carry gun with a double action pull on the first shot, and can also be used for home protection. It is perfect for women and those with small hands. Walther’s are known for their reliability, and this should give someone decades of shooting fun. That being said, collectors will likely also show high interest in this item as well given its high condition and display case. Please see our photos and good luck!
