Our Assessment: This is a Smith & Wesson Wells Fargo Edition Model 3 Schofield Single Action Revolver in .45 Schofield with the “WFE” serial prefix. It is a 6-shot top break revolver with a 5” barrel, and a polished blue finish with a case-colored hammer, trigger, trigger guard and barrel latch. The grips are fancy burl walnut, complete with cartouche. The revolver was made as a limited-edition modern reproduction of the original Schofield by the S&W Performance Center, incorporating the modern technical and engineering advances of the last 125 years. This is a beautiful revolver that comes with its original case. The revolver shows no handling marks except for a light drag line in the cylinder. This revolver would make a great addition to any S&W or top break revolver collection. There were not many of these made, so it is only going to increase in value as time goes on. Please see our photos and good luck!
