Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered red wood panels. The grips are not original to the gun. Each grip shows a few slightly nicked checkers with one slightly more notable scuff toward the top of the left panel. The checkering shows light wear and is generally sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Fine-Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are infrequently scattered faint nicks about the metal, notably along certain leading edges and on the front strap. Other than those, there are only light handling marks. The slide serrations are sharp. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are clean. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Fine-Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The magazine disconnect safety is present and functional. The trigger breaks crisply yet the takeup is a touch rigid. There is a tiny amount of play between the slide and frame. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a single 10-round Mec-Gar magazine and a black Gun Guard hard case.
Our Assessment: Browning Hi-Power pistols are known to be quality tried and trusted pistols. They have been the chosen sidearm by armies and police forces across the world throughout the millennia. Manufactured in 1969, this is a C-series example in about Fine-Plus condition and still has solid mechanics and a bright, shiny bore. The ring hammer was replaced by a Spur hammer by 1970. You will see some C69s with ring hammers, such as this example here. The C-series are not as highly sought after as the T-series BHP but they are certainly desirable and near completely identical. Except for the spur hammer, the bluing, polishing, and the serial number change the C series is identical to the T. This would make a practical self-defense arm or to have in your collection as an early commercial production Hi-Power. Please see our photos and good luck!
