Markings: The left side of the slide has a Nighthawk logo next to “NIGHTHAWK / CUSTOM”, the right side is marked “TALON”. The barrel, visible through the ejection port, is marked “NIGHTHAWK / MATCH 45 ACP”. The right side of the frame is marked “NIGHTHAWK CUSTOM BERRYVILLE, AR USA / NHC01183”.
Barrel Length: 5″ Match Grade
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a black Trijicon blade with a single tritium insert. The rear sight is a square notch BoMar serrated target sight dovetailed into the slide. Both sights are dovetailed into the slide. The front sight lamp is dim but still visible in low light. The top and rear of the slide are serrated for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece wood panels, one half is smooth and the other half is checkered. The grips have Nighthawk logos in the center. The frontrap, trigger guard, and mainspring housing have a Nighthawk hand stippled texture. There are some scattered light handling marks. There are a couple of faint compressions. There are a few marks through the finish, the most noticeable are on the right panel at the top and bottom. The checkering is mostly strong with flat tops as from factory. The grips rate in about Fine Plus overall condition.
Type of Finish: Hard Chrome
Finish Originality: Orignal
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are a few little marks that have caused smooth spots to the matte finish, some of the most noticeable are on the bottom of the slide in front of the dust cover. There is some handling wear on the left side of the frame below the slide stop that has made the matte finish slightly shiny. There are a couple of little marks on the sides of the trigger guard. There are faint takedown arcs on the slide and frame. There is wear on the top edge of the rear sight to the left of the notch. There are a few scattered light handling marks. There is standard operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are mostly clear, the markings on the chamber are a bit light. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The frame to slide fit is snug. The trigger is crisp with a tactile reset. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
