The LOP measures 14 1/4″ and 13” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad and wood, respectively. The wood is shy of the recoil pad. There are some light scratches infrequently dispersed about the receiver. There are a couple faint marks on the baseplate. There is a light mark or two on the barrel. There are a few nicks along the edges of the trigger guard. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in about Fine-Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. There is a cross-bolt safety behind the trigger. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a three-round magazine.
Our Assessment: The Browning BAR rifle was produced starting in 1967. This particular example was manufactured in 1969 and it has a 24? barrel which has a bright bore and sharp rifling. The rifle looks to have seen very little use in the field or was just very well kept, retaining about 96% of its metal finish and strong mechanics. This is a beautiful timeless classic and it has decades of life left in it. Please see our photos and good luck!
