Markings: The top of the barrel is marked with a warning over “STURM, RUGER & CO. INC. SOUTHPORT CONN. U.S.A.”. The left side of the frame is marked “RUGER OLD ARMY”. The right side of the frame under the cylinder is marked with the serial number “140-16087”. The cylinder is marked twice with “FOR BLACK POWDER ONLY”.
Barrel Length: 7 1/2”
Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch integral to the topstrap.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth wood panels with inset Ruger phoenix medallions. The grip panels show light handling marks, and the right panel has a minor nick below the medallion. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Fine condition.
Type of Finish: Blued with Brass grip frame.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 92% of its metal finish. The cylinder has a light plum hue. The barrel has a few longer nicks on the top and some minor thinning on the tip. The cylinder has also an intermittent turn line. The screw heads have minor tool marks with strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder lock-up is good with minor play on each chamber. The nipples are unobstructed. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
