Markings: The top of the shank is marked “CAL. / 308 W”. The left side of the chamber ring is marked “G8617 / MADE IN / CZECH REPUBLIC”. The left side of the receiver is marked “CZ 550”, the CZ logo, and “CZ-USA, KANSAS CITY, KS”. The right side of the chamber ring and shank are marked with a Czech nitro proof and the “02” date code. The bolt is marked “617”.
Barrel Length: 20 1/2”
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded, fore to aft slotted blade on a serrated ramped base that is screwed to the barrel. The rear sight is a windage adjustable U-notch leaf that is dovetailed to an escalator base which is screwed to the base. The top of the receiver is equipped with two CZ scope rings for mounting a scope (not included).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one-piece Mannlicher-style checkered maple with a pistol grip, slightly crescent comb with a cheekpiece, sling stud front and back, and a ventilated black rubber recoil pad. The only visible imperfection is a small white nick in the belly. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14 1/8” and 13” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad and wood, respectively. The pad shows no wear. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is well defined. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is minor operational wear. There is a faint mark here and there. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is light and crisp. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is one 4-round magazine, an original serial matching box, and a manual.
Our Assessment: CZ is known for its high-quality, reliable sporting and hunting rifle. This Model 550 is a testament to that with a feather-light trigger that breaks clean and crisp and a bright bore. This rifle is extremely clean showing no evidence of consistent use.
