Our Assessment: While most known for their .22 single-shot rifles, J. Stevens produced an extensive line of .22 target pistols. Even though they are classified as pistols they are dubbed “Pocket Rifles”…pockets were clearly longer back when this was manufactured, as the overall length of the firearm with the stock is about 32”. Thankfully, the stock is detachable. This one has an 18” barrel, walnut grips, and a blue and nickel finish, better yet it comes with a serial matching shoulder stock. This would certainly be a fun gun to shoot but will make an excellent addition to a collection of .22 pistols or early American single shots. Please see our photos and good luck!
