Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “—WINCHESTER® MODEL 70 300 Rem Ultra Mag— / —MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CT U.S.A.”. The right side of the barrel is marked “—CLASSIC SPORTER—”. The top of the barrel is marked “PW” in an oval proof mark. The left side of the receiver is marked “WINCHESTER / —TRADE MARK—” and the right side is marked with the serial number, “G357257”. The buttpad is marked with the Winchester logo.

Barrel Length: 26”, 28” with Muzzle Brake

Sights/Optics: There is no provision for iron sights on this rifle. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped, and filled with two-piece Leupold mounts that have attached a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x scope with duplex reticle. There is minor scuff wear near to the scope rings, the glass is fairly clear and overall, the scope rates in Very Good-to-Fine condition.

Stock Configuration and ConditionGrip: The stock is a one-piece checkered wood with pistol grip, fluted straight comb with cheek piece, and black rubber buttpad. There are QD sling swivels on the belly of the buttstock and the underside of the forend. There are light handling marks along with a few light nicks near the bolt handle groove. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP is 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad is free of any notable wear or damage. Overall, the stock is in Very Good-to-Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore, but light stubborn fouling persists near to the muzzle.

Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 98% of its finish. The action has very light operational wear. The markings are clear. The screwheads are sharp. Overall, the rifle is in Fine-plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
