Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “DESERT EAGLE – .50AE PISTOL / ISRAEL MILITARY INDUSTRIES LTD. (I.M.I)”. The right side of the slide is marked “MAGNUM RESEARCH INC. MINNEAPOLIS MINN. / MADE IN ISRAEL”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 6″
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped blade and is dovetailed into the top of the slide. The rear sight is a square notch sight dovetailed into the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a one-piece textured black polymer with IMI logos in the middle of either side which wraps around the backstrap. The grip has a few light marks on the smooth portions. There are no chips or cracks. There is some flashing from the mold on the back. The texturing is strong. Overall, the grip is in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the polygonal rifling is strong. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few little rubs that have caused faint thinning and light handling wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are strong. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. For questions regarding convertibility, please contact Magnum Research. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a through cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a serial matching box, paperwork including the manual, and a pair of 7-round magazines. The box has some scuffs, creases, corner & edge wear, and a few tears & punctures, in about Good condition. One mag is sealed and the other has some very light wear from use, in about Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: The Desert Eagle is a fascinating pistol that incorporates a gas-piston and rotating multi-lug bolt system into a big-bore semi-automatic pistol. Its all steel construction is at once absurdly heavy and necessary as it will help dampen recoil and stop the reciprocation of the large mass of its slide from whipping the pistol out of your grip. With the solid lockup of a rotating multi-lug bolt and more than 8″ sight radius, this pistol would be at home hunting, at the silhouette range, or just informal target shooting with your range buddies. This particular example, a MK XIX, is in Excellent condition and has a great bore and solid mechanics. It may be a little unwieldy for home defense, but it’ll put the fear of God into any intruders. Despite some saying there’s no use for the Desert Eagle it never seems to drop in popularity be it in Hollywood, video games, or in the shooting community in general.
