Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This M1 Garand was originally made back in 1942. It was eventually stripped down and sold by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) as a receiver. It has since been rebuilt and looks great. The bore is bright and the action sits in a new production hardwood stock. This is a nice looking rifle that should do well out at the range. The rifle comes with a CMP certificate.
