Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q.” and “MADE IN JAPAN – ENGRAVED IN BELGIUM BY FN HERSTAL”. The right side of the barrel is marked “SPECIAL STEEL 12GA. SHELLS – 2 ¾””. The left side of the receiver is marked “ONE OF FIVE THOUSAND”. The right side of the receiver is marked “BROWNING CLASSIC”. The underside of the receiver forward of the loading port is marked with the serial number, “211BC0332”. Both sides of the receiver, the trigger guard, and grip tangs feature fine floriate engraving with a dog and game bird on the left side of the receiver and waterfowl and a portrait of John Browning on the right side of the receiver. The trigger guard also features the Browning logo in gold inlay. The buttpadis marked “BROWNING AUTOMATIC” with “FN” in between.

Barrel Length: 28” with vented textured barrel rib

Choke: Modified, Fixed

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a silver bead fixed to the front of the barrel rib. The top of the receiver is serrated for glare reduction.

Stock Configuration, and Condition: The stock is a two-piece wood with checkered pistol grip and forend, fluted straight comb, and black textured polymer buttplate. The buttstock shows a few minor compressions on either side and the forend shows two minor scuffs on the left side. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The pad shows light handling marks, but otherwise is free of any notable wear or damage. Overall, the stocks are in Fine condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and there is no erosion. There is some light stubborn fouling in the bore nearer to the muzzle.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. The receiver shows a few minor scuffs, the most notable of which is on the rear left side. Screws show minor tool marks and have sharp slots, and the markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in Fine-plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
