Markings: The right side of the barrel at the chamber and the receivers chamber ring are marked “27387”. The top of the receiver ring is marked “MADE IN AUSTRIA / Original / Mannlicher / Schoenauer / Mod MC / KAL 30-06”. The left side of the chamber ring is marked with an Eagle proof mark and “59”. The left side of the barrel is marked with proof marks and “59”. The floorplate is marked with a “STEYR” bullseye logo and an ovalled “STOEGER / ARMS / CORPORATION / NEW YORK / MADE IN AUSTRIA”. The bottom of the bolt handle is marked “7387”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade dovetailed to a hooded, checkered, ramped base fixed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight has a fixed “U”-notch and a folding “U”-notch marked “300”, dovetailed to a boss at the rear of the barrel. The left-rear of the receiver is drilled, tapped and filled for a receiver sight (none present).

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one piece checkered walnut full stock with nosecap, capped pistol grip, Monte Carlo comb with cheekpiece, serrated black plastic buttplate, and sling swivels front and rear. The stock has some scattered light nicks, scuffs and scratches. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 3/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The plate has light wear with well defined serrations. Overall, the stocks are in about Very Good-Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion. Our bore gauge measures a ME of about -1.0.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are only light handling marks and minor operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in about Fine condition and would rate Excellent but for the light wear in the stocks.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
